If you are a parent of a multilingual learner and want to learn more about our English Learner Education program and meet the Superintendent of Schools, James Reilly, this is a great opportunity to do so!

Come and meet other families and learn how you can be involved. Our goal is to create a school-family partnership to increase the academic and social well being of our children, and build a community that focuses on shared responsibility. 

 

Please complete this form and return it to your child’s classroom teacher as soon as possible.

We will meet at 9:30 AM in the cafeteria of Dawson Elementary School!

DESE Comprehensive Review Visit May 1-5

. The Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) has selected the Wachusett Regional School District for a Comprehensive District Accountability Review by the Office of District Review and Monitoring (ODRM) during the 2022-2023 school year.  DESE selects a variety of districts to undergo these reviews each year A Comprehensive District Accountability Review will include looking at the district’s status on the DESE District Standards and Indicators:  Leadership and Governance, Curriculum and Instruction, Assessment, Human Resources and Professional Development, Student Support, and Financial and Asset Management.   The review will be conducted by an extensive document review and a week-long site visit during the week of May 1-5 that will include individual interviews of district leaders, and focus group interviews of school leaders, instructional staff, school committee members, WREA leadership, family members, and middle and high school students.  ...

Adjustments to Term Dates Due to our recent school cancellations, the following term dates have been adjusted.  The new dates are as follows: Quarter 2 End Date:  January 27, 2023 Quarter 3 Start Date:  January 30,2023 Here is a link to our updated District Assessment Calendar . Panorama Surveys Begin Next Week Wachusett Regional School District utilizes the Panorama student SEL survey to gather feedback and data related to our students' well-being and social-emotional learning (SEL).  Panorama’s survey helps educators understand student perceptions of how supported they feel at school socially and emotionally and their own SEL skill development.  This helps to inform our approach and supports at the student, school, and district level.
