Adjustments to Term Dates

Due to our recent school cancellations, the following term dates have been adjusted.  The new dates are as follows:


Quarter 2 End Date:  January 27, 2023

Quarter 3 Start Date:  January 30,2023

Panorama Surveys Begin Next Week

Wachusett Regional School District utilizes the Panorama student SEL survey to gather feedback and data related to our students' well-being and social-emotional learning (SEL).  Panorama’s survey helps educators understand student perceptions of how supported they feel at school socially and emotionally and their own SEL skill development.  This helps to inform our approach and supports at the student, school, and district level.


This survey is being administered this year three times in fall, winter, and spring.  It will be administered next to students in Grades 3-12 across the district between January 30th and February 17th.


Panorama provides developmentally appropriate versions of the student survey for Grades 3-5 and students in Grades 6-12.  You can click to view sample student survey questions.


If you have any questions about the SEL survey, please contact your school's principal.

Budget Updates

Dear Wachusett Families, The last day of the current school year will be Friday, June 23rd which will be a half day for students and a full day for staff. Kindergarten students will have their last day on Friday, June 16th.   We hope you all have a restful and enjoyable summer.

In order to help streamline communication for families and staff, general district news items are now incorporated into a monthly newsletter called " The Peak ".  You can find a link to The Peak on our district homepage ( www.wrsd.net ).  Important, time-sensitive messages will still be sent individually through our mass notification system. No new posts will be added to this blog.

DESE Comprehensive Review Visit Thank You!

Thank you to all who participated in the DESE Comprehensive Review the week of May 1st. Many teachers, school and district administrators, students, parents, and School Committee members, participated in focus groups and classroom site visits. The team from AIR (Advancing Evidence Improves Lives), contracted by DESE (Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education) were very complimentary about the warm welcome they received. Thank you for providing input on Wachusett Regional School District's practices. DESE will be sharing a draft report over the summer, and when we receive the final report I am sure the information will enable us to reflect on progress and strengthen student performance.
